| Swine Flu It is obviously a worrying time for parents when they hear that at least one school in Essex has had to close due to a case of swine flu (Castle View School, Canvey). If there are any rapid developments at Wyburns, we will contact you via text message. This will normally be a short message either asking you to contact us, or directing you to a more detailed message on the school's website. At school we are reminding the children about the importance of coughs and sneezes spreading diseases, as well as giving specific instructions about the use of tissues and/or hankies. For hygiene reasons we have taken away the plastic drinking cups around the sinks and would ask you to ensure that your child brings a water bottle into school. It doesn't have to be an expensive sports model. A small plastic bottle with a screw top is fine.
