Sayers Croft 2001

At the beginning of July, a group of Year 6 children, accompanied by MrP, Miss Bunton 
and Dr David Jones spent a week at Sayers Croft Environmental Studies Centre

The adventure playground was very popular with all the children. Giant draughts was also popular.

We had a chance to look at some moths at close range.  One looked just like a twig. On Tuesday we walked to the top of Pitch Hill, the highest point in SE England.

Although we did lots of work in the classroom, we spent most of the week outside.

We did a study of the stream at Cobblers Brook.

The weather was hot and so we made good use of the swimming pool. We saw pipistrelle bats close-up.
