Curriculum Map at Wyburns
What we do and when we do it

At Wyburns, all children are taught a broad and comprehensive curriculum.  English and mathematics are both delivered using the National Revised Framework for Literacy and Numeracy and all children take part in the 'Literacy Hour' and 'Numeracy Hour' daily.

Some subjects in the National Curriculum are taught discretely, as we believe that all subjects are important and that not all of them will fit in artificially within a 'topic' heading.  However, many subject can naturally be grouped together under the heading of Themes, using cross curricular links.

The following represent some of the themes the children will be studying.

Please note that this is a working document, showing only a sample of some of the things the children are studying and, as such, is subject to change.
